Samuel Hutchison joins forces with two outstanding singers who return to Overture Hall in a program of favorite arias and overtures from Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and other opera favorites. With performances at Vienna State Opera, Aix-en-Provence, Chicago Lyric Opera and the Salzburg Festival, tenor David Portillo has established himself as one of the leading artists of his generation. Likewise, bass Kyle Ketelsen has sung with major opera companies throughout the world including the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago’s Lyric Opera, and State Opera of Berlin and is praised for his vibrant stage presence and his distinctive vocalism. Join this trio of artists for an exciting evening of great music from opera and oratorio!
